Mix together the flour, baking powder
and sugar. Stir in the melted butter and milk and blend together well.
Press the mixture into two 23 cm/9 in square cake tins (pans).
Sprinkle the tops with the demerara sugar and cinnamon, then press
pieces of butter over the surface. Bake in a preheated oven at
180°C/350°F/ gas mark 4 for 30 minutes. The butter will make holes in
the mixture and go gooey as it cooks.
